The OSI is an optical signal interface for use with a single or tandem OMM-2 optical machine module configuration.
The OSI processes signals from Renishaw optical probes and converts them into machine outputs, which are then transmitted to the CNC controller.
An OSI with OMM-2 system operates using a modulated optical transmission mode and is compatible with Renishaw optical probes that also operate in modulated mode.
Multiple probe mode enables up to three probes to be used with a single interface.
